CHALONG BAY:

Chalong is a very well protected bay at the South end of Phuket and is base for many of the dive and sailboat charter operations in the region, being well positioned for easy access to many of the attractions in the area and also close to services including restaurants, bars, supermarkets etc.

PHANG NGA:

Phang Nga bay is an incredible 225 square miles of the most stunning scenery you will find anywhere in the world. Towering limestone cliffs rise almost vertically out of the water to staggering heights and many have magical caves known as Hongs which can be explored either by dinghy or kayak or by foot. The bay comprises many of these islands, some inhabited and some not and it would take literally months to explore them all. This is also the location of the famous James Bond Island where the 'Man with the Golden Gun' was filmed. The memory of this unique and startling place will be etched in your mind forever.

HEN AND CHICKEN ISLANDS:

Situated less than an hour sail away from Railay, superb snorkelling, scuba diving, great beaches and anchorages.See the thousands of fruit bats flying out of the big island at dusk, returning at dawn to sleep off a long nights hunting and at low tide one can walk across the peninsula between the two islands.

AO NANG/KRABI/RAILAY:

Railay beach was once voted one of Conde Nast Travellers top five beaches in the world and for good reason. The back drop of limestone cliffs, the clear waters, the soft white sand, the palm trees and the monkeys swinging from the trees all combine to create the most strikingly attractive area in Phang Nga bay. Also a favourite destination for rockclimbers from all over the world with lessons available for any level from beginner to extreme adrenaline junky.See also the famous caves to the south end of the beach, the colourful Phallic shrines, the Rayavadee Five Star Resort and a great selection of other quality restaurants and shops.Once again being only accessible by water this place has its own very unique charm.

PHI PHI ISLANDS:

Made famous by the movie 'The Beach' which was filmed in Maya Bay on Phi Phi Leh the Phi Phi Islands have long been an attraction to visitors to this part of the world.Boasting crystal clear waters, stunning landscapes, great snorkelling and a variety of other activities they continue to be a favourite destination for those visiting the area.Phi Phi Don also has many good quality shops, bars and restaurants and there are no motorised vehicles allowed on the island creating a very laid back and relaxing market like atmosphere. There is something here for everyone---whether strolling around shopping for souvenirs, snorkelling in the crystal clear waters, hiking up to one of the lookouts or cliff jumping from as high as you dare!

KOH ROK NOK:

Situated half way between Phuket and Langkawi these two islands are part of the Thai National Park network. The waters here are spectacularly clear and it really doesn,t get more tropical desert island than this. There is a park ranger station here and basic facilities for camping but the islands are completely uninhabited save of course for the big dragon lizards you will sometimes see strolling along the beach. The television series 'Survivor' Thailand was filmed here for the very reason it has such a remote, untouched by mankind feel about it.A must stop for those who have a little more time to travel further afield.

THE BUTANG ISLAND GROUP:

A part of the Tarutao national park group the Butangs lie even further south close to Langkawi and have probably the clearest water in the whole region.Being further away they are even less visited than many other places and so remain pristine in every way.Mostly uninhabited except for Koh Lipe which offers some restaurants and bars and a bustling backpacker scene during high season.

KOH TARUTAO:

Right at the border between Thailand and Malaysia this National Park is a great stopover on the way to or from Langkawi.A former penal colony and pirate base the island now offers many scenic walks and bays to anchor in,waterfalls to visit, caves to explore and lookouts to hike up to.

LANGKAWI ISLAND:

This duty free island is surrounded by 104 other smaller islands and has many beautiful anchorages to explore. There is a great mountian top cable car ride on Langkawi with amazing views over the tropical rainforests, lakes and outer islands of the area.Once again weeks could be spent exploring this area alone where pythons slithering through the water are not an uncommon sight!Because the waters here are not so clear it also means that there are a lot less boats and many more anchorages which you can have all to yourself.

RACHA YAI (also known as Raya Island):

Koh Racha is in the very southern part of Phang Nga bay and is known for its great snorkelling and diving.Swim with schools of tropical fish and see probably the biggest Moray eel you have ever seen.Racha has great bays on both the East and the West sides making it a great stop in either season. There are a couple of resorts on the island with restaurants but this place is very low key and a great opportunity to relax, unwind and get awar from it all.

SIMILAN ISLANDS:

An archipelago of 9 islands 70 miles from Chalong on the North West side of Phuket. The Islands are mainly made up with huge granite boulders creating interesting but much different scenery. This is divers paradise with so many interesting sites with crystal clear water, many big fish and great coral and boulder formations.

This is a National Park with bungalows and camping. Fabulous walks to view points through the rain forest jungle. Interesting wildlife and a turtle hatchery run by the Navy. In some bays the snorkeling is the best you will ever experience with the many varied coloured fish, lush corals and fans. A truly spectacular area.

WESTERN SUMATRA,BURMA,ANDAMANS:

These three regions are amongst the last great unspoiled areas in the world. The clear waters, corals, sea life, beaches and scenery are second to none and there is nobody there!!For the truly adventurous with some more time on their hands these are must visit parts of the world before the crowds eventually and inevitably reach them.Of course the surf in the Andamans and Western Sumatra is also world class. We offer tailor made adventure trips to any and all of these destinations to suit any individual or groups specific requirements and encourage you to contact us to discuss in more detail.Surf trips a specialty.
